For some reason now I must replug my microphone each time I boot my pc so it works. I've always had it plugged in the rear microphone input (motherboard's back panel), and since a week or so if I don't replug it after booting the system can't find the recording device (so no voice chat, videocall, etc, at all).
Did any package broke or something? This has never happened to me before (this installation is two years old now).
I honestly don't know how I should proceed to diagnose this kind of error (I mean it's not like I see any error at all and the sound card seems to work fine) so any help or advice is appreciated. TIA.
