I'm getting this error while trying to start recording using obs studio.

I've been having some issues unrelated to yours with this new driver. This was a recent update I believe about 4 days ago. If it's working before, this might be an issue with this new driver.
I've downgraded to the old driver to fix my own problem so I can't test the nvenc for this new driver. I don't have a better answer than to downgrade to the older driver.

The new nvidia 450.57-2 build with the recent linux 5.7.8 works now. Would you be able to confirm this works for you as well?

[EDIT] : Still getting same error additionally saying to close other recording software but I don't any have other.

I had this problem with nvidia 450.57-3 and linux 5.7.8
Updating to linux 5.7.9 has fixed the problem.
