Helllo,
in the last few days I've noticed whenever I try install something
in the output on the terminal I get this output.
Installing...
mkdir: cannot create directory ‘/usr/lib/ucontrol’: Permission denied
cp: cannot stat 'lib/ucontrol.jar': No such file or directory
cp: cannot stat 'lib/icon.png': No such file or directory
cp: cannot stat 'bin/ucontrol': No such file or directory
chmod: cannot access '/usr/lib/ucontrol/*': No such file or directory
OK!
...
is it something to be worried about?

Looks like it could be related to https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/ultimate_control .
Please post the exact command that gives that output
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Hello,
Sorry, for the short 1st post, family emergency
I thought that too, never heard of that utility before or ever installed it
it's pretty much any AUR install that seems to cause it but I can't recall what I did prior to seeing it ![]()
Sorry I'm at a loss here on this on.

Please build one of the packages with makepkg and see if the messages are still produced. If so create a new user and when running makepkg as the new user are the messages produced?

I must have used the package ucontrol before I started with ArchLinux as I had a dig in my old gmail account and it I've bought the app, just I don't recall ever using it.
Also inside ~/.local/bin/ there was a new grep, install and uninstall file
these files were causing the issue with aur/yay
gods knows how long they have been there but I've well before I started using Arch.
thank you for everyone for your help, sorry for being such a noob.
