Webcam not working on Lenovo Z50-75

Hello,

when I installed Arch on my laptop the webcam was not working. It worked fine before when I was using Ubuntu. It hasn't bothered me that much but now, about a year later it is getting annoying. I tried fixing it a while ago and had no success. I am pretty sure its a uvc device because I was tested other kernel modules and they did not work at all. When I open cheese the led next to the camera lights up but there is no video. When I close it, the led turns off. The screen is just black and I can't change to video or take a photo. I can select a resolution under the settings menu but none of them work. When using other kernel modules, accessing the resolution settings was not possible. When I try using the camera with vlc I get:

 $ vlc v4l2:// :input-slave=alsa:// :v4l-vdev="/dev/video0"
VLC media player 3.0.11 Vetinari (revision 3.0.11-0-gdc0c5ced72)
[000055e150d3e5b0] main libvlc: Running vlc with the default interface. Use 'cvlc' to use vlc without interface.
Warning: Ignoring XDG_SESSION_TYPE=wayland on Gnome. Use QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland to run on Wayland anyway.
[00007f6f1402c190] main decoder error: buffer deadlock prevented

Does anybody have a clue on how to get it working?
Thank you for your time!
