Songbird

Has anyone tried this recently? It's pretty interesting and hasn't crashed on me so far.

there is not quite a point in putting this in the AUR, as you can run it from the users home directory. If you go with a RC, it automatically updates to the next pseudo stable release. As they put out pseudo stable releases every couple of weeks (at least the last couple of weeks tongue) I prefer some automatic mechanism for updating big_smile

That said, songbird is a promising app, though it eats both my cpu  (30% when idle) and memory (twice firefox).

Re: Songbird

I keep getting an error saying:

**Message: don't know how to handle application/x-id3

I've searched here and on google some and found some postings saying I need the gstreamer plugins.  But i've installed both gst-plugins and gstreamer0.10-plugins, but I'm still getting the error.  I can play music fine in xmms, so I'm chalking this up to Songbird still being in development.
