Insufficient privileges for Cdrecord

When I try to burn a CD or even by just running:

cdrecord dev=/dev/sr0 -checkdrive

I get this error:

cdrecord: Insufficient 'file read' privileges. You will not be able to open all needed devices.
cdrecord: Insufficient 'file write' privileges. You will not be able to open all needed devices.
cdrecord: Insufficient 'device' privileges. You may not be able to send all needed SCSI commands, this my cause various unexplainable problems.
cdrecord: Insufficient 'memlock' privileges. You may get buffer underruns.
cdrecord: Insufficient 'priocntl' privileges. You may get buffer underruns.
cdrecord: Insufficient 'network' privileges. You will not be able to do remote SCSI.

Ironically I noticed this while trying to burn the newest ARCH iso, to install Arch on my new PC. But given that the new PC also has a optical unit, I kind of want to know what I did wrong and how to avoid it on my new installation.
BTW I took my user out of "optical" group, because apparently it's depreciated. I know it's not because of that, because I was getting the error before, and I assumed it's probably related to me still being member of a depreciated group.

Seems like bug #67265.

A temporary workaround seems to setuid it to root.

Same problem for me, I cannot write dvd or cd and have errors just like above. So for the temporary solution, do we need to apply diff and rebuild the package?

No, just setuid.
