[SOLVED] Pacman installing outdated packages

While trying to solve a problem with importing pgp signatures, I noticed pacman installed an old version of gnupg.
My main PC has gnupg version 2.2.21-1, but my laptop has 2.2.19-1. I also check the firefox version, my main PC was on version 78, my laptop has version 73.

Pacman reports the package databases are up to date. I tried generating a new mirrorlist, didn't help.

Solved by snooping on my main PC's mirrorlist and copying the topmost one, which was http://mirror.metalgamer.eu/archlinux/$ … $archlinux if anyone is curious, to the top of the mirrorlist.
Edit: This problem kinda confused me since the laptop had a fresh install of arch with the newest installer image from the website.

Same thing happened with me too, i installed July iso, had same issue, mirrors were older a month. Had to update my  mirror list and everything worked.

Reflector is supposed to update the mirrors upon connection[1] , maybe something went wrong with it ?

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
