Making custom/modifing keyboard layout

Hi! I use Czech kb layout and I wanted to modify it so that the top number row actually types numbers. But I can't figure out how to do it, I did read the wiki (Linux console/Keyboard configuration), but idk how to get the right keycode.

I tried to modify the default cz-qwertz.map.gz map file based on some assumptions but that didn't work out.
