/sys/power/resume not persistent

I have setup Hibernation on Arch Linux as explained in the wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Po … _hibernate
but every time I hibernate using

 systemctl hibernate 

and boot my laptop again, it boots normally without resuming where I left it.
I noticed that

/sys/power/resume

is always reset to

0:0

on every reboot and suspect this is the reason for this.
How so I make

/sys/power/resume

persistant to the MAJ:MIN value I set?
