I'm not really sure if this is the right forum, but I don't know where else to ask.
I've changed from an i3-4660s + gtx970 setup to an ryzen 3600 + gtx 970 and did a clean install. Everything works except when I want to play a game on one monitor and watch something software-decoded (yt-video) on the other. When game and video are diplayed simultaneously, then the video gets crazy v-sync-like tearing and the mouse is stuttering like crazy in the game (only the mouse-pointer, not the game itself). As soon as I switch to another workplace (e.g. hide the video) the mouse stuttering disappears.
I think it has something to do with software-decoding, because when I play the video via hw-acceled mpv, there are no lags or tears.
Any idea what could be wrong? Or any direction you can push me?

Make sure your BIOS is up to date and/or properly set up microcode updates. There have been many ryzen firmware issues that updates can help with.

I'm on the latest BIOS version MSI has to offer and I've configured the microcode long ago. But unfortunatelly the problem still persists.

watch something software-decoded (yt-video)
Which program / player is doing that ?
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

I've tested some more programs, and it looks like it's only happening in firefox.
