Hello, this is my first post in the forums, I've been using arch in my laptop for about year and a half.
The issue is with a VM in KVM/QEMU and Xorg
I installed according to the archwiki then rebooted and as a regular user with sudo installede xorg:

[ 2003.555] (EE) Server terminated with error (1). Closing log file.I have no .xinitrc file because I was trying to use the default one, if I run startx as root everything works fine. Also I didn't have this problems with my laptop but it was installed more than year ago.
Any help would be appreciated, I've googled for the answer before posting here but none of the solutions have worked for me, if you need additional info please let me know and I'll be glad to provide it.
Update: this only happens with the QXL driver, if I set the driver to VGA or Virtio I have no problems starting the xserver.

Hello, I use virt-manager to manage my VM's, under the VM settings I choose VGA as the Video Device.
I decided to stick with the virtio adapter but if any one has a solution I'll be more than glad to try it.

I found a trick.
when typing "startx", it will start xinit $HOME/.xinitrc -- /usr/bin/Xorg ...
I aliased startx command with :
xinit "${HOME}/.xinitrc" -- /usr/bin/Xspice --auto --disable-ticketing --port 5900 --vdagent :0
Then, you have to open a spice client to view your desktop:
spicy --uri spicy://${VM_IP_ADDRESS}:5900
