[Solved]Having trouble getting pscx2 running, can you help?

Solved:

I was having the same problem and found this solution posted https://www.reddit.com/r/PCSX2/comments … t_startup/

sudo pacman -U https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/ … pkg.tar.xz

Hello, I'm trying to set up pcsx2 and have encountered an issue that I've recognized from other programs as well. Can you guys help me figure out what this means, or guide me in the right direction to fix this?

(PCSX2:28618): Gtk-WARNING **: 13:18:39.651: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "adwaita",

(PCSX2:28618): Gtk-WARNING **: 13:18:39.655: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "adwaita",
Interface is initializing.  Entering Pcsx2App::OnInit!
Applying operating system default language...
SetLanguage: 'English (U.S.)' [en_US] is not supported by the operating system
Command line parsing...
Command line parsed!
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

As far as I know I have English installed, as that's the only language I know and what the whole OS is using, so I'm not sure why I'm getting an error like this.

Also running a check for the adwita shows it installed.

pacman -Ss adwaita
extra/adwaita-icon-theme 3.36.1-1 [installed]
    GNOME standard icons

Can you guys help me with this?
Thanks so much for any help.

Pretty self explanatory, you just need to have en_US generated on your system...
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Locale

If you followed the installation guide properly this should already have been done...

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

Thank you, that solved my language issue! I did all the steps but forgot to run locale-gen.
That solved one issue. Now I only get this error:

(PCSX2:30016): Gtk-WARNING **: 14:01:17.133: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "adwaita",

(PCSX2:30016): Gtk-WARNING **: 14:01:17.136: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "adwaita",

Any ideas on solving this one?

adwaita should be in the gtk3 package. Have you got that installed?

Yes, I have installed GTK, GTK2, GTK-engines, lib32-gtk2, lib32gtk3, gnome-themes-extra, and adwaita-icon-theme

Edit: Someone on a different forum suggested I use the "ldd -r" and show the results so I'll post those here too in case someone can figure out what the issue may be from this.

Re: [Solved]Having trouble getting pscx2 running, can you help?

I was having the same problem and found this solution posted https://www.reddit.com/r/PCSX2/comments … t_startup/

sudo pacman -U https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/ … pkg.tar.xz
