I'm trying to get the screen to lock on my notebook (Dell XPS 13 7390) when I close the lid, or press the sleep button.
I installed acpid and added a line to /etc/acpid/handler.sh under button/sleep and again under button/lid -> close that calls my i3lock script. When I close the lid, or press the sleep button, the computer goes to sleep. When I wake it (or open the lid), it shows my unlocked screen for less than a second, and then locks the screen.
How can I get it to lock before the computer goes to sleep?

Something else then acpid probably interferes, check https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Po … CPI_events .
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
