[SOLVED] How to make Spotify play local files?

On its AUR page, it says it needs `ffmpeg-compat-57` package to do so. 
It used to work on my machine.

You need to rebuild ffmpeg-compat-57 against the new version of x264. This is normal and expected and  the normal ffmpeg package is irrelevant to this (or rather the reason ffmpeg was updated is the same reason you need to rebuild ffmpeg-compat-57 for), it's x264 that updates and you need to rebuild it's dependencies (like ffmpeg-compat-57) every time it updates. For repository packages the Arch Linux maintainers take care of this, AUR packages are your responsibility.
