Trying to makepkg brave from AUR, hangs at "Resolving Deltas"

I am trying to make the Brave browser from the AUR, it hangs at the step "Resolving Deltas (100%)". I've left it there for over 20 minutes....... I know makepkg works because I have used it to install other packages successfully.

Here is the full makepkg output:

Is it recommended to install Brave this way? just cause Reddit has a bunch of people who also couldn't install this AUR.....

Re: Trying to makepkg brave from AUR, hangs at "Resolving Deltas"

Moving to AUR issues.

You could try the brave-bin package (read the comments first) if you don't need to set any special compile-time options when you build brave.

Did you try runnig makepkg like this, as suggested in the sticky AUR comments?

env USE_SCCACHE=0 COMPONENT=4 makepkg -sicC

No, because the rest of that comment implies that it's used for custom compile-time options, and I am not using any of those.

I'll try brave-bin....

Re: Trying to makepkg brave from AUR, hangs at "Resolving Deltas"

When makepkg hangs does pstree show the git subprocess of makepkg has not exited?  If it has not exited what state is it in?
