[SOLVED] Setting default resolution in xorg

I'm running Arch on Thinkpad X220. Using Slim and Fluxbox this time. Slim starts in 1024x768 with black stripes on both sides of the screen. Max resolution is 1366x768, which i can set with xrandr, no problem. I have generated xorg.conf (in /etc/X11/xorg.conf) and tried to change resolution there with no success. Ran Arch on this laptop couple times before, first time encountering this problem. Where am i failing?

That's actually the preferred/auto resolution - cut out slim (it's bitrot anyway) and try startx/xinit: do you have resolution issues here as well?

If you don't care about slim, you could xrandr wour preferred resolution in your  ~/.fluxbox/startup (do NOT fork the call!)

Right. Cut out Slim, Fluxbox started in 1366x768. I'll play with Slim config or pick a different login manager. Much obliged.
