Every time I install grub, I can't get into the BIOS

I installed Arch Linux alongside Windows and I can boot borh operating systems after pressing F12. But when I want to go into the BIOS, the screen goes black and there is a small white line in the upper left corner. Then I reinstalled the BIOS, but the I can no longer boot Arch Linux. But if I reinstall GRUB with a boot stick, I  won't get into the BIOS again.

I have a Acer Aspire A315-51 laptop.

What does "go into the BIOS" mean, exactly? And how did you reinstall the BIOS (whatever that means) and reinstall GRUB? Please post the exact command(s) that you used
