I recently installed Jellyfin media server. All my movies are in a folder in my home directory. Adding the folder via the jellyfin 'Add Media Library' page gives the following error:
The path could not be found. Please ensure the path is valid and try again.
Although I've never had to tweak any permissions on any other machine before, but I figured it might be a permissions thing. So I gave the group 'jellyfin' ownership of the folder. Still no luck.
Then I gave the user 'jellyfin' rwx access to that folder using acl. Still getting the same error.
I even tried setting permissions to 777. Jellyfin just can't seem to access that folder. I am stumped at this point.
P.S. No, I can't put the folder somewhere in /srv, because there's way too many files to fit on my root partition.
