Gnome / Mutter laggy after 15 hours of uptime.

The DE / WM is very unresponsive after being in use for approximately 15 hours. It doesn't seem to matter if the system was in hibernation or had actual use during this time.
Individual programs don't show similar issues, only the DE specific things like the menu bar, extensions, system settings etc. It takes between 3 - 5 seconds for each click or command to register, which is a lot.

The only way to resolve the issue I've found so far is to reboot the system entirely. I've ruled out that it's not an HW issue since it works fine with other OS:es like Windows, and other distros using Gnome like Ubuntu.

Kinda new to this, so i have no idea what kind of logs or configs someone would need to help me troubleshoot the issue.
