Sound Works IF AND ONLY IF After Logging Out

Hi guys, I just made a fresh arch + i3wm installation. It does not come with working sound of course.
So I installed pulseaudio and volumeicon after reading wiki. But I found that the sound works if and only if after I manually log out.
After searching google for an hour, I still cannot solve this problem.
Any ideas?

Sounds like you aren't properly starting your session initially. How do you log in/start i3 ? Post files in relation to that, and if via .xinitrc read the blue notes

Maybe throw in

systemctl status
systemctl --user status pulseaudio
sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*

before and after the second login.
