How to change graphics cards?

Currently I have 3 "NVIDIA NVS 300 Dual-VGA" with 6 monitors. I want to migrate to 2 "NVIDIA Quadro NVS 450" cards for 8 monitors.

I have installed packages:

xorg-server
xorg-xinit
xf86-input-evdev
xf86-input-mouse
xf86-input-keyboard
mesa
xorg-xrandr
xf86-video-nouveau
xf86-video-vesa
xf86-video-fbdev

How do I make a change? Do I have to do anything before removing old cards? Is it just the process of replacing cards and turning on the computer with new graphics cards?

Re: How to change graphics cards?

you may need to change or add /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-monitor.conf for your new setup. Pls read this wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Multihead
