libreswan networkmanager plugin cannot be found in Network Manager

I recently freshly installed my Laptop and started setting up VPN for work.

I'm trying to use libreswan for setting up the ipsec connection and installed libreswan and networkmanager-libreswan from AUR.

Everything seemed to work smoothly, ipsec.service started alright, but NetworkManager does not display the libreswan plugin and the connection cannot be set up in the KDE-plasma gui (libreswan connection setup is not displayed).

I saw on the AUR page that there seems to be an issue with installing networkmanager-libreswan files to the correct installation path. I tried setting up links to make the installed files available in the relevant locations, but it seems I cannot figure out, where the correct locations are.

Anybody had (and ideally solved) this problem before?

Re: libreswan networkmanager plugin cannot be found in Network Manager

Well like this comment suggests:
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/netw … ent-734355

You could try to change the following line in PKGBUILD:

--libexecdir=/usr/lib/networkmanager \

to

--libexecdir=/usr/lib/NetworkManager/ \

This is because the networkmanager package uses this folder, see "Package contents:" in:
https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extr … rkmanager/

It's a small difference, but still an important one.
