KDE (nvidia) black screen contents

Hi,

I am having an issue where application contents seem to black out. Also after sddm at kde loading screen it freezes, i have to switch to another tty and back for it to unfreeze.

I have tried disabling nvidia modesetting by adding "GRUB_PRELOAD_MODULES="part_gpt part_msdos nvidia-drm.modeset=0"" to /etc/default/grub and running grub-mkconfig. However the nvidia-modesetting module still loads. I did this because the workspace froze a couple of times (with mouse cursor moving fine and me being able to switch to another tty) and I saw an error in dmesg regarding "nvidia-modesetting unable to load page".
