So I wanted to run games from my GPU but after I installed nvidia-prime and rebooted the boot keeps getting stuck on a multiple things. Most of the times it gets stuck on "reached target graphical interface". It has also been stuck on "started hostname service". I have googled what to do and nothing helped so far. I have deleted nvidia-prime without any succes. I also got xorg-server installed. Launching Arch with the following parameters "systemd.unit=multi-user.target". But then it doesn't launch any GUI so thats not optimal. I also tryed to start sddm.service while its stuck without any succes. It just won't boot.
I want to provide logs but I just found out that I don't have any internet so I am not sure how I can get the logs of my laptop since I am not able to upload them or get them off my laptop.
If anyone got any idea how to fix this please let me know or if you need anything from me.
PS. I am posting this for a friend since he can't make an account for the forum since his laptop isn't working.
Edit:
After some more tinkering we renamed xorg.conf and it's working again. Not sure why that helped but it did
