XFCE clock applet does not report same time as system time

After a recent system update (not sure if XFCE packages were updated), the XFCE clock applet is reporting time incorrectly (1 hour behind), even though the timezone is set correctly. The system time, as reported from timedatectl is correct:

[*@* ~]$ timedatectl
Local time: Fri 2020-10-09 09:47:35 CEST
Universal time: Fri 2020-10-09 07:47:35 UTC
                 RTC time: Fri 2020-10-09 07:47:35
                Time zone: Europe/Malta (CEST, +0200)
System clock synchronized: yes
              NTP service: active
          RTC in local TZ: no
[*@* ~]$

The timezone of the applet is similarly correct: GTmgeQV.png

Any ideas on what may be the cause ?

Wrong attempt at daylight savings?

Why don’t you ask the XFCE team?
