I was trying to access the run level files in my system, but there is no such directory as `/etc/rc.d` in my system. Is this a problem in my system or arch stores the run level files somewhere else, please help.

There are no runlevel files on archlinux.
Archlinux had its own bsd-style init and switched to systemd years ago.
Check https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_boot_process and https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Systemd
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
