[Solved] Recent Alsa update and Pulse suddenly sees 0 audio devices

I have checked around, and none of the posts with similar issues have worked for me. I updated Alsa recently, and suddenly, only my HDMI and USB devices are recognized, the aux is completely missing.

Output of pacmd list-cards

Alsa does seem to be showing ALL my devices, which is where this gets weird, I for some reason cannot select the devices listed to play from.

Edit: The issue was alsa-ucm-conf. Simply needed to downgrade it, and all was as it should be

Re: [Solved] Recent Alsa update and Pulse suddenly sees 0 audio devices

I think I'm experiencing a similar issue, I wouldn't really mark this as "solved" just because a downgrade fixed it though. That's not an appropriate fix IMO and means something still needs to be done, whether that means reporting a bug with alsa-lib or the arch package repos.

What motherboard do you have? Can you list the contents of /etc/pulse/default.pa?
