[SOLVED] No sound after full system upgrade - AMD ALSA problem

Hello everybody!

Yesterday I did a full system upgrade with pacman -Syu and noticed that I have no audio playback.

I searched the web for a possible solution, yet after  a whole evening of vain attempts I must now turn to the Arch Linux community.

The system is muted and no playback devices are present in the audio menu right after startup. A sound device shows up when I type  pulseaudio --start in the console. It doesn't help though. I tried unmuting different devices in alsamixer, without success. Reinstalling pulseaudio, installing diferent alsa packages or pulseaudio-git doesn't help either.
I'm running KDE Plasma on a Thinkpad T14 AMD. The sound was working after installing arch with no further tuning required.

Here's the info the community asked for in other topics.

(Pulseaudio started, as some of the outputs would've been blank)

Re: [SOLVED] No sound after full system upgrade - AMD ALSA problem

The problem still persists after downgrading alsa-lib using

sudo pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/alsa-lib-1.2.3.2-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst

Did I miss something?

Re: [SOLVED] No sound after full system upgrade - AMD ALSA problem

the package that leads to the issue is alsa-ucm-conf, downgrade that, and follow https://github.com/alsa-project/alsa-ucm-conf/issues/54 (... which appears to have gotten a fix 20mins ago and I'd assume that would land in the Arch package soon)

Edit: That line is not an actual issue don't worry about it.

Re: [SOLVED] No sound after full system upgrade - AMD ALSA problem

If this is solved, please mark it as such by adding [SOLVED] or so to the initial post's title.

@Khere that isn't going to help here, it's an underlying issue in the ALSA library pulse queries for sound card information.
