System unresponsive after resuming from suspend or hibernate

Hi. I have a system with lightdm and XFCE. GPU is AMD Radeon R9 390, and the Linux kernel is 5.9.1.arch1-1, using the amdgpu drivers. It is unresponsive after resuming from either suspend (to RAM) or hibernate. I cannot change to tty (Ctrl+Alt+F3), and keys such as the Num Lock key do not change the indicator. The display appears to get a signal very briefly, as the display wakes from sleep, but it goes back to sleep immediately, saying that there is no signal. There is also nothing in journalctl from around the time it resumed from suspend and became unresponsive. I've tried both DisplayPort and DVI on the video card, and this happens with both. How might I be able to fix this?
