Hi, I have downloaded a global theme from store.kde.org and extracted it. But how do I apply it? When I go under Settings > Global Theme I only see the original two themes that shipped with the desktop.
If I hit Get New Themes from that settings manager and it takes me to the theme store, when I hit install a theme, I get "Installation of /tmp/qdSgXy-Sweet.tar.xz failed: Could not install dependency: 'kns://sddmtheme.knsrc/api.kde-look.org/1334945'".
I have installed xorg-server, plasma-desktop, mesa, and xf86-video-nouveau on a custom PC using an Nvidia graphics card.

$ pacman -F sddmtheme.knsrc
extra/sddm-kcm 5.20.1-1 (plasma)
usr/share/knsrcfiles/sddmtheme.knsrc
$ Looks like the theme you chose includes some stuff for the sddm display manager .
Do you have sddm-kcm installed ?

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?

I do have sddm installed, but not sddm-kcm.
So if I install sddm-kcm, then it should appear in the Global Theme selection window?

Personally I only use themes from repo or AUR* , so can't guarantee that.
installing sddm-kcm will allow the installation of the theme to continue and appear as choice in the list.
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/?O=0 … =sweet+kde shows kde themes with sweet in the name, maybe you could use one of those ?

it's very easy to mess up themes in Desktop environments, using archlinux packages through pacman helps.

Alternative perhaps is to create a PKGBUILD for the theme you like so it's registered with pacman as well.

So would this be the best way of finding a theme for KDE plasma from the repo: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/?sor … =&flagged= ?
And this from AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/?O=0&K=plasma+theme ?
I am looking for a one stop solution. Not to individually theme icons, fonts, backgrounds, windows, etc. Which is why I ended up doing it the way I did after reading this: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/KDE#Themes and seeking that Global Theme.

Those searches do look targeted, yes.
Is https://store.kde.org/p/1294729/ the theme you're interested in using ?
