Hi,
I do not have systemd-homed.service running and do not plan to use it on the headless server at the moment.
The journal shows lot of messages like these (anytime my mail clients check the imap dovecot server):
Oct 28 18:55:11 xxx dbus-daemon[412]: [system] Activating via systemd: service name='org.freedesktop.home1' unit='dbus-org.freedesktop.home1.service' requested by ':1.47330' (uid=0 pid=1483972 comm="dovecot/auth -w ")
Oct 28 18:55:11 xxx dbus-daemon[412]: [system] Activation via systemd failed for unit 'dbus-org.freedesktop.home1.service': Unit dbus-org.freedesktop.home1.service not found.
Oct 28 18:55:11 xxx auth[1483972]: pam_systemd_home(dovecot:account): systemd-homed is not available: Unit dbus-org.freedesktop.home1.service not found.Starting systemd-homed.service does not really solve the spamming - the messages only change to complaints about the particular user not having systemd-homed profile.
Is there a way to suppress the messaging without modifying pam.d files or even renaming the pam_systemd_home.so module?
EDIT: If Anyone googles in here. Look at https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=258297 comment #8
