Gnome remote desktop

I have a laptop which is always on. I've enabled screen sharing with remote control from Gnome Settings. When the screen is on I can connect to it, but I can't when I close the lid or when the screen turns off. The laptop is still on, because I can connect with Transmission Remote, for instance. Do you know how could I always connect to remote desktop, even when I close the lid or when the screen turns off?

Re: Gnome remote desktop

You could run a VNC server on the laptop and connect to it with a VNC client.
