My laptop crashes after a period of inactivity and my screen goes dark to conserve power. I started noticing this problem with the 5.8 versions of the linux kernel and the problem has persisted. This doesn't happen when I use the linux-lts kernel. I tried looking at the journalctl log and to be honest, I don't know what a lot of it means. My laptop is a 20RM Lenovo ThinkBook 14s-IWL with a Intel i5-8265U (8) @ 3.900GHz GPU with integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 GPU and a dedicated AMD ATI Radeon [ / RX 640 / E9171 MCM GPU.
I copied the journalctl file from one of the days I had the crash. The link is here: https://pastebin.com/iSZMGMh3 . I know there are a lot of lines of the journal, but I didn't know what would be helpful and what wouldn't be.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Thanks Seth for replying. I read the link that sent me. I am trying one of the fixes from the post and I will let you know if that solved the problem.

I have been fiddling around with something like this. In addition to the link that seth provided there is also https://bugs.archlinux.org/index.php?op … 495&status[]=
I had downgraded to 5.8.14 and was preparing to bisect between it and 5.9 when it happened again.
Right now I've disabled dpms to see what happens...
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Di … bling_DPMS
Every time it has happened to me it was coming out of X turning off my screen.

What did you try? dc=0 or selecting iris GL?
Since it's been 5 months, did this re-ermerge w/ a kernel update? And when?

After looking at the journalctl output, I realized that my laptop was getting too warm and rebooting itself. After a good cleaning of the fans, I haven't had the issue. Thanks for your help. We can mark this thread solved.
