Monitors shut down while VLC is playing

Hello,

with some of the recent updates something changed, when watching a movie in VLC my monitors go to sleep if I'm not moving my mouse. When my move my mouse they come back on. Before the update, VLC (while running) was keeping the monitors on just fine.

I'm using Openbox and nvidia binary drivers.

It's one of these package upgrades that caused the problem.

Did anyone encounter the same problem?

I know I can just disable DPMS, but I'd like to keep it on while also having VLC inhibit it like before...
