Kde 3.2 crashes

I just set up Arch to play with, I am a long time Gentoo user.
anyway, when I type startx, kde starts to come up, and I can set the locals and the look and all that, then as the splash screen starts the whole thing craps out with the error libesd.so.0 not found.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Snorkel

well sounds like a depend for esd is missing if you have not already just install esd (or ie may be esound)

Re: Kde 3.2 crashes

I got it working, I had to do a pacman -Su
again.
weird because I did that right away, but it must have not worked the first time.

after the system update KDE started right up.
