Hi all,
nautilus is taking a lot of time to start when I start gnome-session, like 30 seconds. When are two here with the same problem, but we tried compiz/xgl and the problem came after. Just wanted to know if some of you experienced the same problem, I would like to find out where that comes from.
Thanks

I did, but a long time ago, this happened this weekend. I thought my drive was corrupted, but I've done a million tests and that doesn't seem to be the problem.

Loopback interface isn't firewalled by accident?

Some update : I have two separate problems. When I start xgl, nautilus takes a long time to show up. But when I just start gnome-session, it's just the splashscreen that doesn't disappear.

I have the same problem but your link is dead. How did you fix it and how do I enable loopback?

Yes, let's make the assumption that threads from FIVE (5) years ago still have ghosts listening to them .
