Hello
I have Arch Linux with kde desktop but I want to make a single sound when the icons are clicked.
I even arched and restarted according to my text, but nothing happened!
Sound applet in the system tray
Install plasma-pa or kmix (start Kmix from the Application Launcher). plasma-pa is now installed by default with plasma, no further configuration needed.
Thanks for helping me enable this sound effect for clicks

How is this different from your other "sound on click" thread? https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=260752

That was the topic for XFCE!
This topic is for KDE PLASMA

Sad to say that AFAIK, you can't, because plasma does things differently. (or at least not easily, without doing hackish things to the content)
They are working on something like that tho, but I can't find the reference now...

kde dangerous means you say ???????????
In the sense of, no interface for sound theme change.
So one must edit content, which is inside /usr (and you can see why the problem)
They will make one, if I remember right, yet it's not there now, if you can't find it, it has not been done yet.

Is there a way I can apply the sound effect or not?

Nothing on wiki, can't find nothing by search engine.
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/KDE
Only thing I found: https://store.kde.org/browse/cat/316/order/latest
I don't use plasma, neither changed sound, don't know how to use that...
sound-theme-smooth does not work on plasma. If that is the question.

Isn't Linux open source?
I mean, we in this Linux can not add this to our KDE ?!
If not, it's so weird! It's no different from Windows!

This has nothing to do with linux, plasma is open source and *ONE* can patch it - but that doesn't say anything about whether *YOU* can.
What you actually want to know is whether the plasma panel emits a notification signal when you click a button. Ie. whether there's a config option for this.
That dialog: https://userbase.kde.org/System_Settings/Notifications
Click the "configure" button on the bottom and see whether the plasma panel emits an event (that you can bind a sound to)
If not, you'll have to hack it's code and make it emit a signal or just play a sound when you click a button.
