Assistance hardware compatibility (headset and bluetooth adapter)

Good evening, I don't know if this is the right place where to post my question but it was the closest I could find.
So, my problem is: I would like to buy a headset (headphones + integrated microphone) and use them both on my home and work PC. My work PC runs Windows, home runs Arch. Home PC does not have a network card (no WiFi/Bluetooth etc.) but has a audio card (Asus Xonar DX). I will need to buy also a Bluetooth/USB adapter or something like that. It is the first time I deal with Bluetooth in general, I have almost zero experience with audio and hardware and protocol compatibility in Linux.
I would like to know, in advance, what I need to read and be aware about. If you don't mind as well, to give me some tips of what would be a good headset/adapter to buy.

Have a good day,
Luca
