[SOLVED] Thunar is not recognizing my android device.

I have thunar, thunar-volman, gvfs, and gvfs-mtp installed.

I'm getting the following error when I connect my OnePlus 7 device to my laptop:

```
thunar-volman: Unsupported USB device type "usb".
thunar-volman: Unsupported USB device type "(null)".
```

output of dmesg is:
```
[ 1339.285094] usb 1-1: Product: GM1917
[ 1339.285097] usb 1-1: Manufacturer: OnePlus
[ 1339.285099] usb 1-1: SerialNumber:
[ 1865.152134] usb 1-1: USB disconnect, device number 9
[ 1876.526841] usb 1-1: new high-speed USB device number 10 using xhci_hcd
[ 1876.710019] usb 1-1: New USB device found, idVendor=2a70, idProduct=4ee7, bcdDevice= 4.14
[ 1876.710023] usb 1-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
[ 1876.710026] usb 1-1: Product: GM1917
[ 1876.710029] usb 1-1: Manufacturer: OnePlus
[ 1876.710031] usb 1-1: SerialNumber:
```

The output of lsusb looks fine too.

Re: [SOLVED] Thunar is not recognizing my android device.

Can you detect/mount it using https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/simple-mtpfs/ ?

Re: [SOLVED] Thunar is not recognizing my android device.

In addition to those packages you mentioned, I also had to build jmtpfs from the AUR for thunar to access my android device. I have a different device though. IIRC, there are other alternative packages to jmtpfs listed in the wiki.

Re: [SOLVED] Thunar is not recognizing my android device.

I can't seem to detect my device using mtp-detect.

```
libmtp version: 1.1.18
Listing raw device(s)
   No raw devices found.
```

Edit: I managed to connect by turning off USB debugging but i still can't see the files on my phone.

Edit: i fixed it, i had to enable debugging again and enable file transfer under USB options.

Thunar isn't too good with afs (apple file system) either, but that's an apple thing I think.

Have you tried android-file-transfer?
