Failed to initialize graphics.

So, I am trying to play Among us or Warframe on my Thinkpad T440.  Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4300U CPU @ 1.90GHz. I went through the Wiki and Installed all graphics drivers for intel, and vulkan for 32 and 64. I have installed wine and Lutris. When i try  to start Among us ( Steam or Steam Proton) i get this error from wine:

Failed to initialize graphics.

Make sure you have DirectX 11 installed, have up to date
drivers for your graphics card and have not disabled
3D acceleration in display settings.
InitializeEngineGraphics failed

and in the console:

In Warframe  I get the Error that Warframe does not support directx9, but Warframe ships with its own directx so the problem is my drivers.

Any Ideas?

You can pretty much forget that with that card. The best you can do is to try and start it with PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 specified in the launch options but I doubt you'll have good perf from that.

What about the other games like Among Us? 2 weeks ago it ran fine but then i messed it up trying to get Warframe running.

Depends, what did you try and what did you mess with exactly? What's the output from starting it? FWIW you should be able to use the parameter with that as well, and if you didn't have vulkan enabled beforehand that's likely what got used in that case.

I removed all vulkan, mesa, lutris and wine with all their dependencies and then reinstalled them.

That just reads like the lutris launcher is breaking... Can you reproduce from steam directly?

I don't know how to get the logs from Steam directly only from Lutris.

Same issue, did you try with the wined3d parameter set in launch options? Did you use a different proton version in the past? You can change that in the game properties and tick the checkbox to use a different version of proton, there have been some sandboxing issues with proton 5.13 so you might want to give 5.0 a shot in that selection box.

Also a few locale errors though they do not look like the underlying issue but in any case: Make sure you have a en_US.utf8 locale generated
