[Solved] Move HD contents to two SSDs

I have one HD, storing all / (and /home) in under 512 GB.
I want to migrate to two SSDs, one for /home and one for everything else, 250 GB each.
I have ext4 partitions on all three drives.
Are there two "simple" dd(1) commands to move all the files?
Or is another command a better choice?

Thank you!!!!!! I thought I had seen it in my readings, one of which was rsync.
