Use Internal Microphone with Headset plugged In

Hello,

I have Lenovo Thinkpad E460 and it has a single Input Jack for both Microphone and Speaker.

My problem is whenever I connect my Headset, the status of Internal Microphone becomes "Unplugged" while it works otherwise. The problem is my laptop has better Microphone than my headset so I would like to use my Headset for listening while using Laptop Microphone at the same time.

I tried setting it in alsamixer and pavucontrol but none worked.
I followed the Arch Wiki ALSA  but it has lots of options and I can't really figure out which one to choose. (I tried headset-mode-no-hp-mic but it didn't work)

EDIT:
I got it solved by using an AUX Splitter/ Converter (AUX In to Microphone+Headset Out) and a workaround. I guess there is some limitation with the hardware itself which disables the Internal Microphone upon connecting a Headset. Even with the splitter, laptop was disabling the Internal Mic. But when I connect 2 headsets to both the Output ends of the Splitter, the laptop will not disable the Internal Mic and it just works fine.
