[solved] Problems with HiDPI and Apps not being recognized as Default

So, I've recetly got a X260 with a 1080p screen. Running it at 100% it's just to small so I enabled Fractional scaling on gnome following the wiki

The Problem is that APPs that run via XWayland look "fuzzy" the solution (at least for Thunderbird and Firefox) is to enable Wayland that works without a Problem.

I have noticed however, that when started with xdg-open (e.g. if I click on a Link) Firefox is run on XWayland again. So I've added the option to the .desktop file that is set as default browser in xdg-settings but after doing that, opening Firefox regularly would bring up the "Firefox is not the default Browser" message and when I accepted Firefox as the default Browser it would create a new .dektop file and set that as default browser in xdg-settings.
The Same applies for Thunderbird.

The solution was to set the MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND variable globally via systemd environent variables in /etc/environment.d/ (setting it for the user only wouldn't work) and now my firefox and thunderbird are nice and sharp
