I'm unable to change the fanspeed like the Arch Wiki suggests.
I get the following outputs:
$ find /sys -name pwm1_enable
/sys/devices/platform/nct6775.656/hwmon/hwmon1/pwm1_enable
/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:01.0/0000:01:00.0/hwmon/hwmon2/pwm1_enable And
$ readlink /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:01.0/0000:01:00.0/driver
../../../../bus/pci/drivers/nouveauWhen i'm trying to change the fanspeed between different modes with echo, for instance automatic i get the following:
# echo 2 > /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:01.0/0000:01:00.0/hwmon/hwmon2/pwm1_enable
bash: echo: write error: Invalid argumentAnd if i try to change the file with vim it either reverts the changes or does not save them. The fan is currently running at max speed. And using the NVIDIA drivers instead of Nouveau is not really an option since sway does not support it, and i do really like sway.
I'm running the following system:
OS: Arch Linux x86_64
Kernel: 5.9.14-arch1-1
Shell: zsh 5.8
WM: sway
DE: N/A
Terminal: alacritty
CPU: Intel i7-4770K (8) @ 4.400GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
Memory: 1437MiB / 15940MiBCheers, ![]()
