Description of problem: Every so often (every few days), my laptop keyboard partially turns off. When I say "partially", I mean that all text input is disabled, but some of my hotkeys still work. For instance, even when the keyboard is seemingly not working, I can still open a terminal with Super+Enter (DWM shortcuts).
A bit of backstory: I am a new arch user, but I've had this problem for a long time on Ubuntu. When I used gnome I found a hack that if I click the application menu icon (bottom left of screen) and open and close that menu the keyboard turns back on. After switching to DWM the problem continued but I didn't have the gnome hack to fix it. When I installed Arch I was pretty confident that I wasn't going to see this bug again, but it indeed followed me.
What is happening here? The keyboard is still on to some degree, but text input doesn't work. By now I am pretty confident that this is a hardware/driver issue, since I literally wiped my drive and reinstalled a new distribution and the bug persisted.
My laptop is a Thinkpad 13 (2015), running Arch with dwm 6.2.
I would like to post logs, but I can't find xorg logs from previous session.
