Loading initrd.img install CD boot up error

This is the error I get when trying to boot up the install CD, 0.7.2.

boot:
Loading vmlinuz.....................................
Loading initrd.img...isolinux: Disk error FE, AX = 4280, drive 9F

Boot failed: press a key to retry...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Loading initrd.img install CD boot up error

If you upgraded (ftp install) you need to change "initrd.img" to "kernel26.img".

I didn't upgrade, this is actually the first time trying to install ArchLinux.

I downloaded a 0.7.2 ISO from one of the mirrors and burned it to a CD.

Re: Loading initrd.img install CD boot up error

Right, but you did an FTP install, which is equivalent to an upgrade.  Your best bet is to use the new isos in the sticky at the top of this forum.

Re: Loading initrd.img install CD boot up error

I downloaded the ISO from the sticky and it got farther into the install process, but now I get another error.

EIP: [<c012a1be>] cpu_callback+0x28e/0x2d0 SS:ESP 0068:c1133f80
<0>Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!"

There is also a lot of other information before that on the screen, but it's a lot to typ out.  If it's absolutely needed I guess I could take a picture of it on the monitor.

I didn't know if I should start a new thread about this or not, sorry.
