Lenovo Ultra Dock vanishes on powerloss

Hi everyone,...

I just found out, that my docking station is completely powered off (including connected devices), when there is a power cut, even when my laptop ist docked to it and running.

Laptop is a "Thinkpad x260", Dockingstation is "Lenovo ThinkPad Ultra Dock"

Unfortunately, I have usally one or more external USB Disks connected to it and thought, they were covered in case of power loss. Turns out, they are not.

This is what happens, when the laptop is docked and the docking station lost power:

I have an very old Thinkpad X200 with an even old docking station, that will happily provide power from the laptop battery in such situation without any configuration needed. Can I somehow change how the Dockingstation behaves, when there is a loss of power? Is it even configurable? I found nothing related to it in the BIOS/EFI and I wonder, if there is a way to let e.g. the kernel handle this situation.
