[Solved] After kernel upgrade no /vmlinuz-linux file found

I wanted to update my kernel (from 5.10.7 to 5.10.8) so I started an update. But during the update my laptop crashed (probably because I forgot to plug it in).
After I tried to reboot it it didn't have any network functions so I booted via my arch install USB mounted my partition(/dev/sda2) and completed the upgrade from there.
But now it gives me the error every time when I start that

/vmlinuz-linux

is missing. I tried to reinstall my grub boot loader which didn't work.

After this I also tried to go back to an older version of the kernel (5.10.7) which didn't solve my problems.
Is there any solution to this problem?

Edit:
messed up my kernel numbers not 5.7 and 5.8 but 5.10.7 & 5.10.8

5.7 to 5.8? What packages are we talking about? What distro?

I talk about the linux kernel. I updated from linux-5.10.7 to linux-5.10.8
It's archlinux.

What packages, specifically? You're talking about updating from one EOL kernel to another EOL kernel that doesn't exist in Arch.

Alright, so if you crashed during an update, you'll need to reinstall all packages that were involved with that update. See the pacman log.

Well that's (more or less) what I did. I went ahead and booted with my arch install USB (because neither wifi nor cable would work) chroot'ed into it and finished the update (replaced the packages which were corrupt).
But after that I can't boot anymore with my normal Arch OS because the boot media can't find the vmlinuz-linux file.

Okay I fixed it by initializing the grub files again (grub-install + grub-mkconfig). Also I have put my config files in the wrong directory. sigh...
