Improper rendering of pcf fonts

As the title says, pcf fonts render incorrectly in certain programs. Those problems, so far, seem to be in sxiv and qutebrowser.
Rather than displaying the monospaced font as they should, they display the default sans-serif font for the system.
I currently have libxft-bgra-git installed from the AUR, but I have tested this with libxft from the main repos.

In sxiv, the bottom bar's font is able to be set through the xresources file. Here, it's set to "Misc Tamsyn," but still displays only the default font.
sxiv example

Here in qutebrowser, a basic font test page is shown with what is supposed to be "Misc Tamsyn" displaying only in the defalt sans serif font.
You can also see that the font works correctly in the command bar of qutebrowser, and it also works in the hinting mode popups.

This issue with qutebrowser isn't presenting in GNU Icecat, however, and the fonts dispaly properly.
