"Default browser" is kept being ignored

It's Tunar, xfce4. The setting "default browser" has been set to Firefox. However, in the applications that contain links such as Thunderbird, Telegram... whenenever I click on a link, the Brave browser will  be launched. Why not Firefox? How to make it Firefox everywhere?

Re: "Default browser" is kept being ignored

You have to go to default programs and select which program you want to open links

You still need to go to firefox settings and set it as your default browser.

I don't understand - WHAT if not that I've just described in my question? Are you unable to read?

Re: "Default browser" is kept being ignored

This depends a bit on what xfce sets where and what other programs read. There are a multitude of ways, double check your  mimeapps list[1], it's likely that the programs in question use something different than what xfce manipulates (note the table in [2])
